In-house programme

Complementing the keynote and evening lectures, an in-house programme has been developped in order to give the students and guest scientists the opportunity of an intensive and interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and experience on an international level.

Lectures and workshops

Guest scientists present the main focuses of their activities and research to the Forum's students. The students for their part are invited to present their areas of activity and other subjects in so-called tandem lectures. During self-organized work students can establish priorities beyond their specific knowledge and discover and experience personal strengths.

Personality training

Special seminars are held to provide personality training for students at the Forum as future leaders of the business and academic life and research. Focus is on training integrative abilities of perception and communication. Themes such as leadership, communication skills and international manners are part of the programme. The seminars are specially customised to the needs of the students in cooperation with professional trainers.

Welcome weekend and alumni network

A welcome weekend is held at the beginning of each winter semester which provides an opportunity for residents to get to know each other. In winter semester 2013/14 this weekend will take place on October 11 to 12, 2013.

An annual summer and Christmas party round off the year.

The alumni network contributes considerably to building an efficient social and professional network for the residents exchange with their predecessors.

Concerts

Every year one or two concerts are held in the library. These provide a further opportunity for people to meet in an informal atmosphere and exchange news and views. When possible the musicians are drawn from the ranks of the visiting students or academics.
